Today marks the one year anniversary of ‘Invitaiton.’ I’m so grateful for the experience of making this record with such an incredible group of musicians, and to everyone who has supported me over the years in my musical journey. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Invitation was written in a small cabin on the Oregon Coast. The landscape and character of my surroundings while writing were greatly influential in the sonic scape and lyrical content of the record, so it was important to me to support the music from Invitation with visuals that felt akin to its source.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
As a celebration of it’s release and a continuation in visual collaboration to support the record, @graysoncoxstudio and I teamed up to create this ltd edition screen print. The base of the print is a pen and ink drawing that I made over the course of writing Invitation. The silhouette mirrors the iconic Haystack rock that sits offshore in the coastal town where I was living - a pinnacle and source of inspiration noted in the record. The iridescent veil is both a visual representation of the moody coastal horizon and the beauty that lies beyond fog so to speak.⁣⁣

While on tour in November with @thebuildingmusic, we stopped over at Three Century Farm and spent memorable evening with @daniel.carl.the.fox and @maurajames who were posted up there as artists in residence. They shot and produced this acoustic session along with @rl3productions on the font porch - capturing the beauty of the place, and most importantly, my favorite cat in GA, Squeak. 💛Link in bio

Full-length Soundcloud link in bio.⁣ In uncomfortable times of anxiety and change I always tend to go turn inward. Somehow if I go deep enough, I resurface on the other side with a new and calmer, more collected perspective. Usually also with music to share. ⁣

It’s tough these days to feel grounded and comfortable with so many unknowns. I made these cello drone cycles as an exercise for myself - a way to focus and relax. When I’ve shared them with friends they’ve said they help them relax, breathe, fall asleep. ⁣

I’d like to share them with you now - a small journey for the mind - in hopes that they help you do the same. Please feel free to share this tool.

We’re sorry to announce that our Berlin show tonight @badehaus_berlin is cancelled, however due to current conditions we believe it’s for the best. We almost made it- 18 shows in 23 days. Tremendous thanks to all of you who came out to the shows and to the support acts that joined us along the way. We hope that anyone effected recovers quickly, and that this mess comes to an end as quickly as possible. To those who still have to travel to get home- we’re with you and wish for everyone the safest and quickest journey home as possible. Big love ✨🖤

I Try is the second in a two part series of music videos made in collaboration by @devin.febbroriello and @tracymaurice. In White Tail (part one), the stage is set and the viewer is left pondering how the timeless dream world will develop.
In the video for I Try we enter the waves and echoes of the dream landscape and follow Heather as she journeys through doorways and portals both within and without, trying to make sense of the paradoxical nature of the realm she has entered. With a nod to the twists of a fairy tale and the revelations available to those brave enough to enter the rabbit hole. The video was conceived along the Oregon coast, in studio, and combined with textural footage created with analog special effects techniques by Tracy Maurice.
